Conscious movement for the harmony of body and soul

Pilates

Pilates is a conscious movement form that develops both body and mind, helping to restore muscle balance, improve posture, and reduce stress.
Every exercise is built around correct breathing techniques and controlled movements – thus safely, yet effectively shaping the body, regardless of age and fitness level.

Pilates refreshes the body and soul

Pilates exercises emphasize correct breathing and posture, thereby establishing a closer connection between body and mind (body&mind movement form). Pilates practitioners are aware of their bodies and how to control their muscle movements. Correct breathing also reduces stress and tension within us.

Flat stomach and strong back? Not impossible!

Pilates also engages and strengthens the body's core, i.e., the deep abdominal muscles and the muscle groups closest to the spine, thereby promoting correct, graceful posture. A toned stomach is just a bonus!

Pilates gives us strong and flexible muscles

Traditional workout programs are tiring and result in short, large muscles – this type, however, is the most vulnerable when it comes to injuries. Pilates stretches and strengthens the muscles, increases their flexibility and the mobility of the joints. Flexible and strong muscles are not easily injured, which is why professional athletes also engage in Pilates workouts.

There is no safer form of exercise

Most exercises are performed in a lying or sitting position. Pilates causes a slight increase in heart rate, which can help with calorie burning and weight reduction. Pilates is such a safe form of exercise that it can even serve rehabilitation purposes, and is definitely recommended after rehabilitation!

Also suitable for those who seek challenges

Pilates is not a boring, aimless method based on continuous repetition. Let's set precisely defined goals for ourselves and achieve each of them by gradually increasing the intensity of the workout! Let's be sexier, more flexible, and live the quality of life we've always wanted!

Develops all muscles of the body evenly!

We mentioned that Pilates focuses on the body's core, but this does not mean that it doesn't move even the joints or the tiny muscles of the sole of the foot. Unlike other forms of exercise, Pilates does not focus on a specific muscle group. Every single workout mobilizes the entire body, thus allowing all muscles to be strengthened.

Energy, elegance, strength – this is Total Barre™

Total Barre™

In Total Barre™ workouts, in addition to the ballet barre, we may also encounter soft balls, hand weights, and Pilates mats. These tools help in performing certain exercises.

What is Total Barre™?

Total Barre™ is a full-body workout. The method is based on the use of a ballet barre, combining elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, functional training, and cardio. The choreography, performed to modern music, usually consists of simple movements, yet is varied.

Is dance experience required?

No. The choreography of Total Barre™ is fundamentally simple, so even those who have no dance experience can confidently try it. The method is not only safe and effective but also extremely fun! It does not strain the joints, making it suitable for all ages.

What are the benefits of Total Barre™ training?

This energetic and dynamic workout is based on the correct execution of biomechanical movements. Thanks to this, it improves strength, flexibility, and endurance. Total Barre™ also lengthens short, cramped muscles and promotes good posture by strengthening the back muscles.

What does a Total Barre™ workout look like?

The class begins with a warm-up, then transitions into an increasingly intense cardio workout. Meanwhile, it works the entire body. The legs, core, and arms are strengthened segment by segment, alternating nicely. The training concludes with easier and slower movements.

How do I prepare for my first Total Barre™ class?

As for attire, suitable sports pants and a T-shirt are perfectly fine. The main thing is to feel comfortable in your clothes! You can leave your trainers at home, as Total Barre™ workouts should be done barefoot or in socks. Be prepared not to understand everything immediately. Although the choreography is not overly complicated, you will surely need one or two sessions to perform every movement flawlessly. Arrive 10 minutes before the class. You will definitely need this much time to pick up the props without rushing, put away your belongings, change, and get to know the others. Prepare for muscle soreness! Yes, after the first workout, even muscles you didn't know you had will surely ache. But this only means you did the exercises well! What to bring with you? A towel and water, as you will surely sweat! Since the workout is quite tiring, you can also bring a healthy snack for after the training.

Pilates anywhere, anytime

Our Online Classes

It's not always easy to incorporate movement into daily life, but with UP Pilates online classes, you can participate in practices anywhere – whether from home, while traveling, or even from work. In online classes, you receive the same attention and support as in the studio: you can follow the instructor's guidance live, ask questions, and also experience a real community feeling.

Can beginners join without worry?

Yes, classes can be done at all levels. The instructor always shows easier and more advanced variations, so everyone can progress at their own pace.

What is online Pilates good for?

It helps prevent back and lower back pain, improves body awareness and flexibility. In addition to its stress-relieving effect, it contributes to better sleep, a more balanced well-being, and a more confident posture.

How is it different from other online workouts?

In Pilates, the emphasis is not on fast pace, but on precise movements and the coordination of breathing and muscle work. It is safe and effective even in the online space, as the instructor continuously guides and corrects.

How does an online class work?

The session takes place live, via video call. You only need a mat, and you will have a full-fledged workout experience from home. The instructor guides you through the exercises, corrects, motivates, and pays attention to you.

Regular online Pilates helps maintain fitness, improves posture, relieves stress, and provides a flexible solution for those who want to make Pilates a part of their daily lives.
