Women's Day – a reminder for women: taking care of yourself is not selfishness

On March 8th, we give flowers to women.
A nice gesture. A kind thoughtfulness.

But there's something we talk about less often.

Women's Day can actually be a reminder.
A reminder of how important feminine qualities are in the world.

Care.
Attention.
Patience.
Sensitivity.
That special ability to notice others.

These are the values that hold families together, build communities, and make the world more humane.

And yet there's a strange phenomenon.

Many women take care of everyone else…
but not themselves.

Self-care is not a luxury

Many feel that taking time for themselves is selfish.

Yet, the opposite is true.

Self-care is not a luxury.
Not a reward.
And not selfishness either.

Self-care is a fundamental condition.

Because if you are exhausted,
if your back hurts,
if you live in constant stress,
then sooner or later, the energy you have to give to others will run out.

And in such cases, you won't have more patience – but less.

Not more attention – but tension.

That's why self-care is not about choosing yourself over others.

But about preserving the strength you have to give to others.

When a woman feels good in her body

One of the most beautiful things I see in my work is the change when a woman starts to reconnect with her body.

When she realizes that movement is not a punishment.

Not a "must".

But a gift.

An hour when she finally pays attention to herself.
To her breathing.
To her movements.
To her own body.

And then something interesting happens.

She doesn't just become stronger.

But calmer.
More composed.
More cheerful.

And this energy radiates onto everything.

Her family.
Her work.
Her relationships.
Her entire life.

Female strength is not about survival

The modern world often expects women to endure everything.

Work.
Organize.
Care.
Solve everything.

But female strength is not about continuous survival.

Female strength is much more about connection.

Connection to ourselves.
To our bodies.
To our feelings.
And to each other.

When this connection exists, that's when true strength emerges.

A little Women's Day reminder

On Women's Day, it's not just flowers that are worth giving.

But also a reminder.

That:

  • your body is important
  • rest is important
  • movement is important
  • the time you dedicate to yourself is important

Because when a woman feels good in her body and in her life, then the world around her also becomes better.

And perhaps this is the true message of Women's Day.

🌿 Happy Women's Day to all women.

And if you do only one thing for yourself today, let it be a walk, a deep breath, or a little movement.

Your body – and your life – will be grateful for it.
