We don't move to live longer. But to live better.

We don't move to live longer. But to live better.

If we ask people why they want to exercise, we often get similar answers.

“I want to lose weight.”
“I want to be stronger.”
“I wish my back didn't hurt.”
“I want to get in better shape.”

All of these are good goals.

But I think there's an even more important question.

What do you want to be strong enough for?

Movement is not important for its own sake

For us, Pilates was never about Pilates itself.

Movement is just a tool.

The real goal is always beyond that.

So you can get up easier in the morning.

So you have the energy to play through an afternoon with your children or grandchildren.

So you can go hiking with joy.

So you don't have to worry if your lower back will hurt after a long car ride.

So you can bravely try something new.

Your body should not be an obstacle.

Your body should be your partner.

Long life itself is not a goal

Today, we talk a lot about longevity.

About how we can live as long as possible.

This is important.

But I think an even more important question is:

How do you want to live?

Because what's the point of another ten years if you can barely move?

If you have no energy?

If every staircase is a challenge?

The goal is not just more years to life.

But more life to your years.

Pilates doesn't take away from your time

Many people feel that exercise is just another task on their calendar.

We rather think of it as an investment.

Into:

  • working easier
  • staying active longer
  • having more energy
  • bravely taking on adventures
  • living with joy

The time spent on Pilates is not lost.

It pays off many times over in everyday life.

Being strong doesn't mean you can endure everything

We believe strength means something entirely different.

Strength is when you can pick up your grandchild without a problem.

Strength is when you're still smiling after a long hike.

Strength is when you can garden without pain.

Strength is when you still have energy to laugh in the evening.

Strength is when your body supports the life you've chosen.

This is why we work every day

At UP Pilates Studio, we don't train Olympians.

Nor perfect bodies.

We want our clients to:

move better,

feel better,

and bravely say yes to life.

Because when your body functions well, you worry about it much less.

And you can focus much more on what truly matters.

Your family.

Your profession.

Your dreams.

Adventures.

Life.

In the end, only one question remains

If your body supported you in everything…

What would you use it for?

Perhaps this is the most important question.

Because we don't move to live longer.

But to live every day a little better.
