Stay at home?!

Stay at home?!

Lately, I've noticed an interesting phenomenon.

I see that home office isn't for everyone. And not everyone can use it effectively.

Don't get me wrong, I love working online too. But not because I want to avoid meeting people and isolate myself, but because it gives me the freedom to work from the other side of the world after I've been to the beach, or just before I go to a course, play ping-pong with my friends, or whatever.

So it's great if we can be princesses in our own castles, but let's not lock ourselves in the tower and throw the key out the window, waiting for the dragon or the prince to save us (I have a theory that the dragon and the princess are actually the same, two sides of the same coin, but I'll elaborate on that another time if you're interested!).

Firstly, they might not know you're there, and secondly, unfortunately, my good or bad news – decide as you wish… – is that you alone are responsible for your happiness, and you have to do something for yourself.

Fortunately, there are helpers, because this world was somehow created so that we need each other, and we can't solve everything alone. I cannot agree with the aspiration that "I am independent, I don't need anyone." Yet, if anyone, I tried. But I need others even for the most basic things. I go to the store to buy groceries, I need people to teach me what I want, I need help if my car breaks down, I don't sew my own clothes. And I haven't even mentioned emotional needs yet.

"The miracle of human connection is that we are able to help and support each other to be happier and more fulfilled." – unknown author

What I want to draw attention to: GET OUT!

Walk, socialize, exercise, dance, go to concerts, to the theater, anything you love, or once loved.

Simply put, this is what it takes to feel good in our own skin. We also need different kinds of stimuli, aesthetics, and last but not least, different perspectives. If something gets stuck in our own minds and we're spinning in our own foolishness at home, it will be difficult to move forward. Mostly because you don't have any new data that might get you out of the problem or help you solve it.

Of course, if you already know everything, that's great, but then please come out anyway to help others so they can be smarter too.

Speaking for myself, I withdraw when I'm not well. But I am very lucky. My family and friends let me play the dying swan for a bit, then they kick me in the butt – I'm trying to put it delicately – and then they pull me out of the bad patch.

I'm sure you have such people in your life too. And you are there for yourself too. Be grateful to yourself and to them. Nurture your human relationships. And yes, that includes yourself… What is your relationship with yourself?! Hmm? You're with yourself 24 hours a day, I think it's worth investing some time and energy into becoming someone you enjoy being with non-stop.

And you know what's great?! That it only works if you help others too. I'm sure you have a unique combination of things within you that only you possess. In which you are the best in this world. Find it, become a professional in it, pass it on to others. This way you help yourself and others. Let's make this world a better place!

But for that, you have to come out of the watchtower…. Can I ask for something?! Come out and do something for someone today, just because. It could be a smile, a conversation, shopping for someone who finds it difficult, cleaning your partner's car, anything that brings joy to another person.

And see how the other person feels about it. And how you feel about it.

If you feel like it, write to me about what you experienced!

I wish you a wonderful day!
