On Mother's Day evening – the most beautiful gift is time spent together

Today is Mother's Day. A special day when we pause for a moment and think with gratitude of the women who gave life, raised, supported, and lovingly guided us.
I trust that today you managed to spend time with your mothers, grandmothers, or the women who gave you maternal love. That there was a shared lunch, a walk, a hug, a good conversation, or simply a few peaceful moments together. Often, these simplest moments become the most precious memories.
And I hope there was some activity in your day today. Not because "you have to move," but because shared movement is a natural part of life. A hike, a longer walk, gardening, planting flowers, or just doing household chores together – all are excellent opportunities to take care of our health. But this is actually just a pleasant side effect.
The greatest value at such times is not the calories burned, not the step count, not the performance. But rather, that we are present for each other. That we are genuinely interested in one another. We listen to their stories, ask questions, and learn from them.
For example, I can learn a lot about roses, their pruning, and care from my mother while we work together in the garden. And in the process, not only do the plants thrive, but our relationship does too. I see her happy, useful, joyfully active – and that is an invaluable feeling.
Perhaps this is one of the most important messages for tonight: whenever possible, spend time with your loved ones. Don't always look for "big programs." Often, a walk, shared work, a coffee, a conversation, or an hour spent in the garden is enough.
At the end of life, we probably won't regret that everything wasn't perfectly in order. But rather, if we gave too little time to each other.
Love, connect, move together, laugh together – whenever you can.
Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and grandmothers! 💛
