5 reasons to take a Pilates class in summer
1. If you like to exercise regularly, but the heat is holding you back from taking tough cardio classes or running your marathon in 30°C, Pilates is the perfect way to work your muscles.
2. Pilates exercises, although sometimes based on a slow and precise sequence of tasks, are not a retirement exercise. If you think so, it's time to experience for yourself how hard your muscles work during a Pilates class!
3. You certainly don't need to jump, run, lift weights, but you do need to actively use the deep muscles that are activated by each exercise. Pilates is a thorough workout: if you do each exercise well, the nicely executed movements will keep your deep muscles active, so that after a while, you'll have tight muscles, nice posture and a steely body.
4. In summer, Pilates can easily add that little extra something that will make you look good on the beach. Thanks to your strengthened back muscles, you'll have a straighter posture, which will give you a more confident appearance.
5. You'll also find exercises that focus on a specific part of the body, so if you want a flatter stomach or a shapelier butt, you can work on those areas specifically.
