Your body is not lazy - it's just adapted to a sedentary lifestyle

Many people say it to themselves:
„I'm lazy.”
„I have no willpower.”
„It used to be easier to move.”
„I must be getting old.”

But the reality is often quite different.

Your body is not lazy.
Your body has adapted to the way you live.

And that makes a huge difference.

Your body is always learning

The human body is an incredibly intelligent system. It is constantly watching, reacting, conserving energy, surviving, optimising.

If you move around a lot, it adapts.
When you use force, it gets stronger.
If you stretch regularly, it becomes more flexible.
If you sit a lot... it adapts to that.

That is:

  • certain muscles become overworked
  • others „fall asleep”
  • narrowing of hip movement
  • may weaken the stability of the trunk
  • the head and shoulders may fall forward
  • stiffen the back
  • can impair motor coordination

This is not a mistake.
This is a response.

Why do you feel it is difficult to move again?

Many people blame themselves when this happens.

But when you have been sedentary for a long time, the body simply becomes „good” at it.

It will be nice to sit.
It will be good to spare yourself.
It will be good to work with a minimum.

And when you start moving again, your body has to relearn something it may not have practised for a long time.

That's why it can be initially:

  • difficult to bend down
  • strange to stand with straight back
  • feeling weak in the stomach
  • strain the neck
  • feeling unstable about the balance

Not because there's anything wrong with you.
It's because you've switched to a different mode.

Pilates helps you do this

Pilates is not just a „workout”.

An intelligent system to help you reconnect with your body.

Develops:

  • the posture
  • the stability of the trunk
  • the breathing
  • coordination
  • mobility
  • body sensation
  • conscious movement

Many of our guests do not come because they want to „lose weight”.

It's because you want to feel good in your body again.

Easier to get up in the morning.
Not hurt all day.
Move more freely.
Feel more energetic.

Your age is not the main reason

We often hear:
„It comes with age.”

Sometimes there are indeed age changes. But in many cases it is not age that is the main problem, but sedentary patterns that have become entrenched over the years.

The good news?

The body can continue to develop in adulthood.
To learn.
Get stronger.
To change.

You don't have to be perfect. You just have to start.

You don't have to be homeless.
You don't have to be sporty.
You don't have to be „in shape”.

It's enough to get you going.

Your body has already adapted to what it has been given.
Now you can give him something better.
