Why don't New Year's resolutions work?

- And how Pilates will help make this year different

It is early January.
The calendar is still empty, the tracksuits are fresh, the thought in your head is firm:
"Now I'm really going to do sport regularly."

Then a few days go by. A long working day. A tired morning.
And the pledge suddenly seems harder than you thought.

This is not a weakness.
This is human functioning.

Most New Year's resolutions don't work because is not based on a system, but on willpower.
But the body does not work on command.
You need certainty, gradualness and predictability.

What does Pilates do differently?

Pilates does not ask: "How much can you take?"
It is: "Where are you now?"

Professionally, this means that:

  • works by activating the deep muscles
  • improves posture and muscle balance
  • reduces overload and pain
  • helps to build habits, not just "train"

That's why it can work for the long term - not just in January.

The real goal is not a perfect workout

It is that the movement be integrated into your life.
Let there be no question. No fighting.
