Spring is finally here!

I don't know about you, but I really like spring. As the air gets warmer, nature gets greener.

Spring is like a new life that surrounds us everywhere and fills our lives with hope and possibility.

In the winter I retreat relatively quickly, and in the evening, in the cold and dark, I don't feel like going out (and that's putting it mildly).

But this time of year in spring?! I can't wait to be out in nature, or just anywhere in the city, but preferably in greener areas. Imagine, my friends and I started playing basketball again. About high school was the last time I shot hoops... But I'm having an amazing time moving, talking, laughing, having fun. Together.

If you're up for it, I've put together some moves for you to do in the spring:

  1. Outings: nature walks, hikes, climbing or cycling in the woods can be a great way to relax for all ages.
  2. Picnicking: organise a picnic with friends or family and enjoy nature while you're at it! You don't need much, just a good spot, a blanket and some food and drink.
  3. Water sports: if there's a lake, river or sea nearby, you can try kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing or water-skiing.
  4. Gardening: if you have a garden, make time to work with plants! Plant flowers, vegetables or fruit and watch them grow and develop.
  5. Camping: camping is a great way to experience being close to nature and offers a range of fun activities such as cooking, chatting by the campfire, stargazing at night or hiking.
  6. Sports: there are many outdoor sports activities such as running, cycling, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball and football.
  7. Photography: if you like taking photos, get outdoors and look for places that might be interesting to photograph. Enjoy the beauty of nature and capture it with your own camera.

I practice several of these. It's all about charging. Sometimes I prefer to garden alone, for example, and sometimes I like to be with company. For me, both are fine. But I wouldn't miss this spring sunshine and good air! I must admit, I like the rain too. Especially the fresh air after the rain...

For me, spring is like a warm embrace in which you can relax and recharge for the new season.

have fun!
